Simple Past and Past Continuos

 To begin this class, the teacher shared a screen of a blank blackboard with us, where we would put information about each of these topics and their characteristics. First we start by remembering about the simple past and how it is formed and used, then we continue with the past continous and finally we carry out two activities related to these topics.

Past continous:

Is used to show that an ongoing past action was happening at a specific moment of interruption, or that two ongoing actions were happening at the same time.

The past continuous is formed using was/were + present participle. Questions are indicated by inverting the subject and was/were. Negatives are made with not.

Use the past continuous to indicate that a longer action in the past was interrupted. The interruption is usually a shorter action in the simple past. 

Simple Past:

Is used to show that a completed action took place at a specific time in the past or that an action already happend. The simple past is formed using the verb + ed. In addition, there are many verbs with irregular past forms. 

• Statement: Bought
• Question: Did 
• Negative: Didn't

Then we also did a activity that was about telling a story, obviouly with simple past and past continous. 

In my case, I told a story that happened to me a long time ago but was very shocking.

Reflection:

In this class, I remember how to use simple past and past continous and how they are formed. The attributes of the profile that I developed were: inquiring, informed and educated and reflective since these same helped them to correctly remember all the aspects of the simple past and past continous. Tha habilities that I improve were: critical thinking, self-management and communication skills.
